How It Works

PDF Reports
After signing up for this service you will automatically receive detailed PDF Reports to your email address in a number of key Council areas. Samples of the reports we currently provide are available for viewing in the list below:

Council PDF Reports are based on a combination of Local Authority and External data. Various data providers include the Geological Survey of Ireland (GSI), Central Statistics Office (CSO), Office of Public Works (OPW, Radiological Protection Institute (RPII), Ordnance Survey of Ireland (OSI). Data used in each report is referenced to the data owner. Results in the PDF reports are to be treated as generalisations, and may not be fully accurate. Kilkenny County Council gives no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data published in the reports. It is recommended that all results in the PDF Reports be verified with the relevant data owners. The entire risk of use of the data shall be with the User.

SMS-Email Notifcations
You can register for text alerts with Kilkenny Local Authorities when key Council notifications are published. At present we offer text/email notifications for the following alerts:

  • Public Water Supply Boil Water Notices
  • Scheduled Public Water Supply Water Outage Notices
  • Advance Flood Warnings
  • Scheduled Road Closures

This service will compliment traditional notification methods such as newspaper and radio announcements, but will not replace them. SMS/Email Notifications will provide relevant alerts for your locality if Council services are affected. For example, if you are living in Ballyragget you will only receive text/email alerts if the local water supply is disrupted. You will not receive a text/email alert for water service disruption in other parts of the County. You can also change your SMS settings at any time by logging into your account and specifying what alerts you wish to receive.
